ClickNotary takes your privacy extremely seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our remote online notarization services.
Information We Collect
- Your full name, email address, and phone number
- Government-issued photo ID (for identity verification)
- The document(s) you need notarized
- Video/audio recording of the notarization session (required by law in most states)
How We Use Your Information
We only use your information to:
- Verify your identity
- Perform the requested notarization
- Maintain the required electronic notary journal (kept for 10 years as mandated by law)
- Send you confirmation emails and your completed documents
Security & Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using 256-bit AES encryption. We use secure, compliant third-party platforms that meet or exceed federal ESIGN/UETA and state RON requirements.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your uploaded documents and ID are automatically deleted from active systems within 30 days after the session, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
